How do I care for my vinyl boat wrap?
Caring for your vinyl boat wrap is very easy. Cleaning your marine wrap: all you need is soap and water to keep your vinyl boat wrap clean. Don’t use any abrasive cleaners or cloths, and don’t use solvents as this can damage the boat wrap. Take care when water-blasting, and avoid high pressure water around the waterline and vinyl edges. High pressure water-blasting can lift the edge of your vinyl wrap and force water underneath. It is a good idea to anti-foul just over the edge of your vinyl wrap to help guard against lifting or peeling.
Can marine wraps be removed??
Yes a marine can wrap can be removed without harm to the underlying surface.
Do I need to take my boat out of the water to apply a marine wrap?
Yes you need to take your boat from the water to apply a marine wrap.
We are not located near your shop, can you still design a boat wrap for us?
Yes is the simple answer. Since we ship nationwide we can design your wrap, print it and either arrange for one of our installers to come to your location, or ship you the finished wrap. I have a racing boat will a boat wrap add much weight to my craft?
For racing boats where weight is critical a vinyl boat wrap adds no more weight than spray paint, and is in many cases lighter.
What is the difference in cost between vinyl boat wraps and marine painting?
Vinyl boat wraps cost between 1/2 and 1/3 less than marine painting. Marine wraps can be applied outdoors so you also save money on yard costs.
What does it cost to wrap my boat?
And as much as we would like to give you a price list, we can't do that because there are too many variables involved in designing and installing a boat wrap. Can damage to a boat wrap be repaired?
Repairing damaged boat wraps is simple – cut out the damaged area and apply a patch. When applied correctly, the joins should not be easy to see unless you know they are there, or you’re viewing the boat up close.
Can I install a boat wrap myself?
We do not recommend that you undertake installing a full boat wrap yourself, unless you are a trained certified marine wrap installer. If you live out of our area, and want one of our designs we can do an installation at your site. On site installations due incur additional costs. How long will it take to install my boat wrap?
Depending on the size of your boat, boat wrap installation can take between 1-2 days. We want to get you back on the water quickly, when you order your wrap we will give you a completion date.
Can you use my artwork on my marine wrap or boat wrap?
Yes we can use your artwork or photo images in to design your boat wrap. High-resolution .PSD, .AI, .EPS, and .PDF are preferred formats for artwork. Please do not use files from a web site, they are made to look great on a monitor but since they are raster images they do not enlarge very well. It is best to send vector files for instance, Adobe Illustrator files. Vector files are scalable to any size without losing details making them perfect for enlargements. If you need assistance with file types, no worries, we're here to help.
